Ultimate Pilgrimage

Kailash Mansarovar

Journey to the roof of the world — the sacred abode of Lord Shiva

Axis Mundi

Where Heaven Meets Earth

Mount Kailash, rising to 6,638 metres in the Tibetan plateau, is considered the most sacred mountain in the world by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bön practitioners. A circumambulation (Parikrama) of this holy peak and a dip in the pristine Lake Mansarovar is believed to cleanse the sins of a lifetime. Xourist guides your spirit along this extraordinary path with care, expertise, and reverence.

The Sacred Path

Key Stages of the Yatra

1

Kathmandu, Nepal

Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Kathmandu — a cultural and spiritual hub. We handle permits, acclimatization, and briefings here before entering Tibet.

2

Crossing into Tibet

Cross the Friendship Bridge at Gyirong border and begin the ascent onto the Tibetan plateau — one of the most dramatic landscapes on Earth, stretching endlessly under boundless skies.

3

Lake Mansarovar

At an altitude of 4,590 metres, the turquoise waters of Lake Mansarovar are said to have been created in the mind of Lord Brahma. Taking a holy dip here is among the most spiritually significant acts of the entire Yatra.

4

Kailash Parikrama

The 52 km circumambulation of Mount Kailash across three days is the centrepiece of the journey. Crossing the Dolma La Pass at 5,630 metres is both a physical challenge and a deeply transcendent experience.

5

Return & Reflection

Descend back to Kathmandu carrying the peace and transformation of the pilgrimage. Xourist ensures a comfortable return journey with ample time for rest and reflection.
